I’m getting more used to weather that’s stable. I haven’t found a good way of measuring what the forecast will be, something about Islands being unpredictable. But it’s still better than London, only been caught out in the rain once and the smell of wet trees made up for it instantly.
Less about the weather but the time of year is that there is birds everywhere, crows have been a staple throughout all of Sapporo (seeing more crows at the seaside than seagulls is slightly surreal), but in most parks you can see ducklings swimming through ponds and rivers. They’re a great spot to watch as well as to see the local elderly Japanese women taking photos with cameras larger than themselves – seems slightly overkill for a closeup of a duck.
The roses are in full bloom. I’ve been paying with some macro photograph but the people enjoying the park are more fun.
